Proper torque spec for rear main oil seal carrier on a 78
Does anyone know what ther proper torque specification is for the six bolts that fasten the aluminum rear main oil seal carrier onto the crankcase is! Neither the Haynes or factory manual says.

They are 6mm bolts, so likely it's something like 8 ft-lb. I doubt you have a torque wrench that goes that low!
Tighten by hand and make sure they are snug.
