Does anyone know if a 1408 cover will align to a 1608? I have a chance to buy an aluminu one but I'm not certain my marks will line up.
Thanks

Re: Timing belt cover
Don't know about those two in particular, but easy way to check is : when at TDC is the timing mark on the crank pulley to the left or the right. If its on the right, then it might work, if its on the left then you will need one from an 1800, or 2000
The 1600 aligns to the right. I have that aluminum cover on our 71
