Guy Croft

Post by MrBill »

Was looking around for a good place to pick up a shop manual and ran across a Guy Croft hard back. Has anyone used the Guy Croft book about tuning Fiats and if so, what did you think? They are quiet costly and i was wondering why and if they are worth it?

Thanks...!!!

in my opinion, they are very worth it. Mr.Croft is a wealth of information on the fiat twincam. his book is not for a stock engine. His book is for modifying and tuning high performance engines

I have both the original edition and the limited edition of Guy's book. Both are great resource books for rebuilding or modifying the engine. I also have a copy of the Fiat Factory Shop Manual and would recommend that you have it. It is available from the vendors.

Guy's books are a "must have" only if you are looking for the last ten or twenty HP available from this engine. You didn't say where you're starting from, or what you intend to do with your finished project. The vendors who frequent this site can get your motor to a very respectable performance level for street use, but your first task is to "shop for the nail, THEN buy the hammer."
