Re: Missing steering lock mechanism
does this mean you have a big hole next to the steering column where the ignition switch used to be and you now insert the key in the lighter hole.

That begs the question, why did they move it. If the ignition still have the anti theft slug on the left side of the key housing, it should go right back in.
Re: Missing steering lock mechanism
There is only an empty hole where the ignition switch was. Nothing else. The cigarette lighter is removed and that's where you put the key. It seems to me that it probably locked up and they just ripped it out and moved it. I'll post picture tomorrow.

Re: Missing steering lock mechanism
looks like it was fitted with a generic ignition key. would be interesting to see what it looks like on the other side of the wood. My guess is it doesnt have any of the steering lock stuff and wouldn't be surprised to see the wiring has been messed with. send us a picture of the money side of the switch.
Re: Missing steering lock mechanism
Bought a new switch and put it in the right place. Now my blinkers both flash and when engaging to the right the hazard light flashes. Also no dash lights. Replaced fuses...?
