124 Spider Dash
I'm probably going to install Csaba's full dash cap on my spider just because it's easy and inexpensive. Just out of morbid curiosity though, how difficult is it to replace the whole dash with the standard old style dash? Would a person need nerves of steel and the patience of Job?

Re: 124 Spider Dash
In my opinion, it's not too difficult. Should be four nuts on studs holding it in. Gauges are all on harness plugs. Glove box needs to be removed first, to reach attachment points behind it. Lots of stuff to undo but not too difficult. And a little patience goes a long ways...
That said, I put a dash cover on my 77, 20 years ago and it only started looking old a couple years ago. If installed well, you can barely tell the difference from the original dash. The only issue I ever had was the round vents not fitting too well. It is possible that AutoRicambi's version has fixed this problem. When I bought mine Csaba and Ramzi where not yet in business.

A little of both, yes, but more importantly, flexibility and the ability to work upside-down. A two-person job for the unitiated. Removal of the seats is helpful.SeldomSeen wrote:Would a person need nerves of steel and the patience of Job?
+1 on the cap longevity and looks. Tip: before installing the cap, use lots of IPA on the exiting dash to remove all traces of Armor All. Scuff the underside of the cap and the dash with 60 grit sandpaper around the perimeter. These two steps will insure a good glue joint.

Thanks all. I will do the cap and make good glueing surfaces.

Re: 124 Spider Dash
It easy to replace the whole dash, nothing to it
I think overlaying with a cap would be harder, and not fit to good
Think about it,
