The place I used to work had two 83000 hp electric motors. And two small 60000 hp motors. They could all be hooked up together. They could move air through a 16 ft test section at over Mach 4.

I don't think they have pictures of the motors. But this is inside the wind tunnel.

I used to stand on a trailer with twin v-12 cat's running a pump at 2500 rpm's. I know I doesn't compare to these engine's but the feel of that power is something I will never forget. It is almost like a drug. I always wanted more. It was like the powEw shook you to your soul. I really don't know how to describe it.
