Re: Seat belts
There was another post by someone about re-winding the Fiat re-tractors with junkyard belts. I think used belts from a SUV. I purchased new belts from Seat Belt Planet an on-line seat belt company and the belts were a pain to pull out and put in the receiver. Every few inches the belt would catch and lock. I called and was told that is the new safety requirements for seat belts. However my 2012 500 does worked just fine. So I took the new belts and put them on the original retractors and threw out the new retractors.
Also the receiver section of the stock belts is too short when the seats are pulled forward. The receiver ends up behind or even with the set back making it difficult to find. I would look for receivers that are longer that the stock ones.

Re: Seat belts
What I need to know is what size would I need, 72" or what
Have no clue in how would I measure,I'd hate to get them to small and it won't go around a larger person

If you have the mechanisms, this can be accomplished. Your seat belts will not meet legal standards unless you have a licensed upholstery shop do the re-webbing. The Feds have certain standards for the type of stitching and thread used. You can also take your old belt mechanisms out and have the re-webbed if you don't want to do the work.
