Oil pump differences

I'm looking to purchase an oil pump possibly.

Now, I have the '78 1800 Engine#: 0769140 (I think this is the engine number and not sometihng else?)

My engine type is: 132A10406

Now, the oil pump I'm looking at says it's for "Fiat 124 1438, 1592, 1608 and 1756 up to motor #572366"

Is there a difference with this, and will it not work? Or is this the one for mine?

I also see that the one for the 2000 looks much different on the pickup tube mostly. Is it dimensionally different, or would it possibly fit? Just wondering.

The 2L oil pump is to long for your engine the 1800 oil pump should be easy to find have you try'd Bruce's or IAP ?

I tried last year, and couldn't. I know someone should have it....I just foudn another one for a better price

Of course I'm not going to screw around with the heart of the engine...I was just curious (and still am) about the difference between the oil pump that fits up to a certain engine number, and the one with the later engines
