tail light lens gaskets

Post by mgbgtn »

I want to replace my old gaskets between the lens and the chrome body of my 73 tail lights as the old gaskets have deteriated to some sort of sticky sludge. Are new ones avalable or is there something else that can be used that won't stick to the lens :?

I used McMaster Carr, p/n 86205K12. Five bucks for 2 x 2 feet. Very resilient, cuts very cleanly with X-Acto knife. Has held up well for several years now.
