Emergency Flasher
Gotta love the lack of quality of some of the parts on our cars. I bought a new emergency flasher a little more than a year ago from IAP. Today, I looked out my office window and noticed my emergency flashers were on. I walked out and found the emergency flasher switch button would no longer stay in. Sooooo. I jammed a few toothpicks in it to hold it throughout the day so I could repair it at home. Thankfully, I had a spare flasher switch in my parts bin and put the used switch in the car! Phew!

Re: Emergency Flasher
In 2003 I bought an Acura MDX brand spanking new, the only new car I'd had in 25 years. Thinking Japanese quality and all that. The sunroof rattled from day one, and rattled even after replacement under warranty. The only thing that would make it stop is wedging a CD case between the sunroof and the liner. Almost $40,000 for a new car and I drove for five years with a CD case stuck in my roof. Wondering as CD's become obsolete if I would have to wedge an iPod up there?

Re: Emergency Flasher
it's a complaint heard across a lotta car forums these days. new/old stock (nos) is fast becoming the best friend of many. i appreciate some of the parts vendors do their best to supply us w/ quality replacements. the manufacturers need to hear when the items are 'junk'. and be held accountable for it. sorry for my lil' rant.
if you can't be an example, be a warning.
