Fiat 500 seat swap???

A local shop is parting out a 500. For those that own both a 500 and a Spider, are the 500 seats comfortable and do you think they would fit in the Spider?????

The 500 has very tall seats. Spider has very short seats...

I'm planning on that swap also, the 500 seats are really good. Although, they're going to look much more modern than the original Spider seats

FWIW....posted my trip report here a few years ago after driving 16 hours/600 miles with only one stop in Norway in a new Fiat 500, and was stunned how comfortable I was. At 6'4" I get all kinked up in shorter drives in bigger cars, and found these seats very, very comfortable. That said, the driving position was a little more upright than I suspect they will be in a Spider, but if this works I'm in.

High off the floor. So likely it would not be a 'bolt-in' mod.

I'm 6'3 If anything, I need lower seats just to see under the top bar of the windshield.

I saw somewhere an owner installed seats with speakers in the headrests. On the surface this sounded like a good idea. Any opinions? And what would those seats have been out of?

I rented a 500 for 8 days while visiting my grandparents. seats are definitely more comfortable than my Spider but im not crazy about the fact that the seat forward mechanism is on the inside (near center of car) as it is very awkward to reach in and operate them. If one could upholster them in the old styling and eliminate the headrests it could look pretty cool.

Miata and Fiero seats have speakers in the headrests, and they're narrow enough to fit the Spider

I believe a version of the M.... (Japanese car) seat has speakers in them.
Just don't completely spell that M car.., trust me you don't want to see the result..
