what was the wall thickness of the 2" tubing. most of the steel ones use 1.5"x.120 wall

Trey, now that you mention it, that sparked my memory. The car had a supplemental 3rd brake light at the top of the trunk to prevent a rear end collision. However IIRC they were rear ended, and that is what pushed them into the intersection where they were T-boned. Initial rear end culprit was a teen girl in an SUV who was texting at the time.
