Replacing front sway bar bushing

Hi guys - is the front sway bar under any load once the front of the car is jacked-up and the front wheels are off the ground? It doesn't look like it but wanted to double check as a Spider newbie.

there is a change in geometry at the a-frames that twists the bushing. much less load than cornering if you jack up the car from the middle of the cross member.

I replaced the 2 outer bushings during my front end re-build. The front of the car was supported by stands at the body jack points behind the front wheels.

I loosened the two body sway brackets to get more play for the outers. With the outer bushings pushed onto the bar, the brackets can be worked over the bolts on the lower control arm. You may need to jack the control arm independently to get the parts aligned. Tighten the outer brackets, alternating between bolts to work the bracket tight to the arm. Tighten the inner brackets last.
