Yeah...lots of spaghetti wiring in there for the optional power windows. If you understand wiring schematics, it can be safely removed.

You should possibly retrofit the power windows as I did on my 1979; found the used drives/cables on Ebay. There is an emergency crank handle as also found on Ebay. Old manual cranks/cables are removed. Covered up the crank holes with fake speaker grills which can be removed to use emergency crank if necessary. Switches are available from usual suppliers.
