Last month I had the good fortune of attending the Amelia Island event.This is Pebble Beach East,although the focus of Amelia tends to run to more modern,and especially race cars.Pebble tends to focus on pre war cars.My friend,and occasional poster here,John Kristoff was invited to show his historic Abarth 750 GT Corse.It finished 3rd in its class at the 1957 Mille Miglia.It was found in a barn in England,converted back to the original left drive and restored to as raced condition.John even had the numbers hand painted back on! He has a album full of pictures of the car racing in Italy.The car is awesome!John invited me and my wife to join him and his wife Cindy at Amelia,to help him with the car.I was estatic!!
I could write a novel on the weekend.I saw cars that I have only dreamed of seeing in person.I spoke with celebrity judges that I have admired for years.It was the most amazing auto related event I have ever attended.I cant begin to thank John and Cindy for their hospitality(although I did get a picture of Cindy wrapped all over Dario Franchitti

)
I took hundreds of pictures,and have struggled with how to post them.Here is a link to every car entered,taken by professional photogs.The Abarth is on page 23.Please take the time(if you are a car geek like me) to go thru the entire album.It is amazing!!!!
