Here's an update for the Italian car show in Charlotte. It looks like two of the three Fiats are from the Triad. Come on guys, let's have a decent showing here and see if we can breathe life into our local Fiat community:

Hello All,

Less than a week until our biggest and best Motori Italiani to date!
Don't forget that the registration deadline is this coming Monday at
noon. Simply email me your info to make sure your vehicle(s) are in
the field.

Below is the list of entries at this point. Please review carefully.
If your name/vehicle is on the list, you're registered. If not, I
don't have your entry.

Further details (arrival times, directions, etc.) will come around mid-week.

Thanks!

Kevin

I know of at least 3 of us that are going: Denise (mdrburchette) and Joe (Hobo).

The last couple of weeks has been crazy busy, so I haven't registered, but I have an email to Kevin to see if I can still get in.

Regardless we should make sure we have some way to contact or identify each other. At least look at the photos from the previous posts.

Joe = Black Automatic, extremely low mileage.
Denise = Darker red 71 or 72. What car are you bringing?
Giulio = My car is brown metallic. My front bumper is off and I recently installed T-Bars. First shot on this post.

Bob and anyone else who can't bring their car should come anyway.

Here's the last email with directions and instructions:

Hello All,

Three days and counting!! This Year's Motori Italiani will be our
biggest event ever with 100 entrants signed up to be in the show
field!

With so many vehicles registered and needing to be placed, it is more
important than ever we have a smooth entrance Saturday morning. Please
try your best to adhere to the arrival schedule below.

With Ferraris being the lion's share of entries, they will be parked
surrounding the perimeter of the area. These need to begin arriving at
9:15.

Other automotive marques may begin arriving at 9:40.

Motorcycles should arrive anytime starting at 9:15. You may bypass any
cars that may be in line and head straight to your area. Jim Calandro
with the Desmo Club will be checking you in. You can go ahead and
place your bike prior to taking care of your registration fee, etc.

Our goal is to have everyone in place by 10:50 so that we're ready for
the show to officially begin at 11am.

(I do know some of you will have morning commitments that won't allow
you to be on this schedule - that will be fine, just arrive as soon as
you can).

For everyone, please have exact change ($15 per vehicle) for your fee.
This will make things go MUCH faster.

Directions:

131 Main Restaurant (Blakeney Location)
9886 Rea Road
Charlotte, NC 28277

I-485 to Exit 59 - Rea Road
Go South on Rea approximately two miles
Blakeney is at the intersection of Rea and Ardrey Kell
Take a right on Ardrey Kell
131 Main will be on your right

Those of you that will be attending and not parking in the show field,
we have been asked not to have any vehicles parked behind the Blakeney
businesses in their loading dock areas. They will be doing business as
usual and will need those areas clear.

Now is the time to spread the word to your family and friends to come
out and enjoy the day with us!!

See you all on Saturday!!

What time are we registered Spiders (Joe, Denise, and me) getting there?

They want us there ideally after 9:45, and before 10:45.

I'm probably going to get there closer to the 10:45 mark.

We should park together if possible. Can the first one there call to let us know where you are and if you can hold a spot for us?

Joe and Denise - did you share numbers yet?

It was a perfect day for a car show. I enjoyed driving the Spider through country roads to Charlotte and getting to meet a few new people, including Giulio and Joe, and hanging with a few old friends. The weather was pleasantly cool and sunny and I got to do what I love....talk about my car! 8) Nice meeting you guys!
