spider2081, Love the shot!! Great idea to incorporate these famous flying machines with your car to create a calendar. I'd love to see it when it's complete. :D

I got the car through this forum many moons ago and shipped it to Europe.
The wheels are Diamond Racing Wheels.

The cars are glamorous, the drivers not so much.

Sure did...thanks so much for sending it. It is such a great photo! I'll see Mark next week when we remove his frozen motor and replace it with the rebuilt motor on his second Spider. I can give him his copy at that time.

BTW, I'm going to try the steroid treatment for the Vitiligo and see how it goes. I hate hats, but I'll have to start wearing one now.

So far none of the Ebay bids on my 80 Spider have come close to the reserve price. I'd rather keep it than give it away for pennies on the dollar. It runs too well to sell it for less than it is worth. I don't think $6250 is too much given the condition, do you?

My opinion...not at all. I see it has stalled out on Ebay. For that money being offered like you mentioned I'd keep it if you can. There is a car on Vancouver CL that wants $2000.00 more that what you are asking, and I think your's is way nicer looking.
Hang in there John. A few adjustment and you can still be smiling driving the spider.

I have seen many cars that others have bought( I was surprise they bought it) and I know it don't take long to stick that much cash in one
I agree on staying on your price
To me it nice to buy a car already done and looks great and mechanically sound, why go thru the headache, let some one do the work and the person can get in it and drive, believe me! They will get there share of working on it later:)
