I’m hoping that somebody can tell me how to mount the brackets (looking like boomerangs) in the back of the cover to the folded top.
Are the brackets supposed to be over or under the padded area? Maybe someone could post a picture of how it looks from underneath the cover.
And do you think is it better to glue or sew the brackets in place? Preferably I would like to mount the brackets the way it was originally.
When I bought my Spider it didn’t have any top cover so I have no reference.
If anyone could help me it would be most appreciated.

Robert, by boomarang thing I am thinking you mean the C shaped bracket that goes under the boot (convertible top cover). If you have the existing boot then the C shapes should slide into the boot at the corners of the boot as the contour of the boot matches the contour of the C shape. The boot should have a sewn or cut out section under the padding but on top of some fabric for you to insert the C bracket. If you purchased a new boot i have seen them come in without this precut hole. The best thing would be measure two or three times where you want the slit to be for the C bracket to have the hook come thru that will attach the boot. Insert the C shape and make sure it is set up the way you want it and then use some glue to fasten the C bracet and the metal hook in place.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

Thank you for the quick response.
There are no precut holes in the cover I bought so I guess I just will try to make the slits where it looks to fit the best and glue the brackets in place.
Thanks again TX82FIAT
