Every since I can remember as a young Boy My father has taken my two brothers (Rob & Lee) and I to the autorama. after growing up my brother and I have tried to continue the tradition. I have gone every year except 2004 when my brother Rob, Past.i have gone with friend Mike Bouse, Woody Woodson, Gary Pope, and the Steve Tamer and Greg Szalapski and others. my father comes in still when he can. and now as it should the tradition is being carried on to my 2 sons. Zac 11 years old and Alex 5 years old. however my car buddy Alex wanted nothing to do with it this year.

my brother Lee and I
Started this venture out a few months back. The Motor City Gumball organizers approached me to enter my car in full racing decals. I contacted my painter about 2 months back asking him to do some touch up work. He stated he would need two weeks to work on the car . Monday before the autorama 7 weeks later. I get my car back. I had a appointment Wed. at 8 to have it in Cobo arena where the Autorama is held. there are about 700-1000 car , trucks and motorcycles that show here. as Tues. night midnight I got the last piece of the car that had been painted. Wed. morning I received the decals. nothing like being under pressure . lol Tuesday the starter goes out in my truck . I called my friend Steve to barrow his truck and to help. also my friend Greg to help not knowing if we would have to push the car in the building and to it's spot. thankfully not, After waiting outside for 2 hours to get in the building ,we where able to drive truck and trailer in to the building and only a couple isles away from my spot.

My car was placed in the " Competitive sport 1968-1982" light race cars out of 9 cars I placed 3 rd

My Son Zac
While standing by my car during the show I notice this husband and wife walking down the isle all by themselves. I couldn't believe no one recognized who he was. Huge Bike builder Ron Finch. I have been a long time fan
