Radiator support brackets broke

Post by Fiat1980spyder »

I have the Radiator support brackets that broke. How did they join the brackets(the brackets that hold the radiator to the chassis) to the radiator?
I thought it might be silver soldered so i tried putting a torch to unsolder it but that did nothing, then I got a oxy/gas torch and even with that heat nothing budged.

They used spot welds.

ah people kept telling me it was brazed but that makes more sense. Was a little akward because of copper and the spot welds looked like copper.
