Chromadora CD3
Chromadora CD3
Anyone have a good Chromadora CD3 they would like to sell me I had a blow out and it ruined one of mine . Are they even repairable I now have a flat spot with a crack. Looks like it hit a rock or something - no missing metal or grinding. Just like it hit a rock when the tier blew and bent it and put a nice crack in it about 1/4 inch on the lip.

They can be welded and finished, but they can't be bent back in to shape. A specialty wheel shop can deliver the verdict on your damaged wheel.

It's amazing what can be done these days. Nu Wheel in Tucson does fantastic wheel repair work.

CD3s are magnesium alloy.

Good point, I wouldn't know how you weld any cracks in that. I've been to several car fires over the years and once burning is damb near impossible to put out. (purple K works)Redline wrote:CD3s are magnesium alloy.

I guess they use some sort of inert gas shield. All I know is ... it's done.
