1979 Fiat Spider Heat Vents

Post by wdmh306 »

Hey All,

Almost spring here in Michigan and getting excited to get the Fiat out of storage. This also means back to work. I have a 1979 Fiat Spider with the original beige interior. I am having a hard time finding the heat vents that go in the center counsel below the dash. Does anyone know where I can find these? Thanks

are you saying you are missing the heater body or the flap on the bottom of the heater body. the flap is the only function that directs heat to the floor.

I am missing the vents. In the lower counsel. On either side of the counsel there is one vent that is suppose to be there. I didn't know I was missing it until I saw others that had it. This part may be called a flap, but looked like a vent to me.

Contact Lenny at Auto-Italia. (http://www.auto-italia.com/) He has an eBay store, too -- "auto-italia." I know in the past that he has had some of the louvers that go in the rectangular slot in the console at the foot well.

I got mine from him 6+ years ago. Good guy to deal with in my opinion.

The louvered vents for the opening in the lower console are hard to find. Lenny at Auto Italia is the only person whom I've found has them on a fairly regular basis. Be prepared to pay a premium for the small plastic parts. :(
