Business is business. I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing especially if Fiat and Chrysler are already being managed as one group. Now if Fiat would just buy out Mazda, too. 8)

Dodge and Chrysler are known for stepping over the edge when it comes to design. look at the Ram truck when they did the make over. and their retro vehicles are awesome. maybe we can see a Resurrection of the Spider in some form especially with Fiat calling the shots!

And the WSJ story said in the last line that the new AR spider is scheduled to be here later this year.

Hi,

The "Old School" Chrysler dealers are killing FIAT in the US, again.

If the Nuovo Spider makes it to the street it'll have to be sold and serviced by Mazda.

Ciao,
Mark

That sounds like an impossible logistical business setup. I would expect they will train on the car and service it themselves, while getting parts from the Mazda system.

Hi,

They're going to have to do something, drastic, when essentially the same car can be bought blocks away from a competent well-trained consumer-oriented operation: Even few of us who love our old 124s will tolerate the same build, reliability, and service issues in a $30k new car.

...I know I'm done.

Ciao,
