Suspension seat & cup RESOLVED

Apparently, I forgot to order cups for my front suspension

I pulled out my spring rubber seats only to find that there is a metal cup (my manual says ring & thrust ring) as well. I was unaware of this prior to ordering my replacements. I have searched a few vendors and have not been able to find them. Perhaps they are known by another name?

I have no source for the metal ones, may have some decent used ones.

Why can't you use the existing ones? I'll hopefully be rebuilding my front suspension soon, so inquiring minds want to know.

That's what I did with mine Jay. Although if I recall they didn't look too bad. If yours still seem solid enough to seat the spring, brush them off and put them back on. If not there should be good used ones around like Csaba said.

If you could see my face right now it would look like this as now I will have to remove the drivers side and remove,clean,condition & re-install Oh well, I am getting really good at suspension removal and install

When I did my springs last year the only place I could find ALL new ones was from Europe. If you look on ebay and select "worldwide" you should find them. Here is a place I found them before.

After a busy week I took them apart and let them soak in some Pine sol.................let the waiting begin



Inside is shiny mint

Cleaned with Pine-sol then painted with Rustoleum
