Radio removal = removing everything
One thing I love about working on these cars is how one thing leads to another. My original 79 radio has lived its life and it was time to remove it. So I decided to remove the entire dash and console and organize all the wires and ensure everything is top-notch. That lead to re-insulating my transmission tunnel. That lead to removing the dash cap from the original dash, repairing and smoothing it out reapplying the cap. That lead to reinforcing where the instrument cluster dash screws go through the dash which lead to cleaning up some of the multiple other components associated with it. Tomorrow, I get to put it back together again. I love weekends - I get to tinker. Yeah!

I know that feeling! I'm in the middle of a front suspension, ball joints, wheels bearings re-do.
Did I see one of your cars for sale on Craigslist?

Yes...that's my 80 on Craigslist for sale. As is common with Craigslist, I keep getting site-unseen lowball offers. I just ignore them.

whatever you do don't start a bath room over haul before you know it you'll be remodeling your whole house.
