Radiator recore

Post by georgeramos »

Should have asked this before making my decision but my rad is at Macs here in Portland and they told me it needed a recore. The original flat fin style was quite a bit more than the serpentine style which they claimed would also perform better so I went that route. Does anyone have any experience with a serpentine recore? Any difference?

Thanks

George

Do you think there is a perception among radiator shops to the contrary or was he pulling my leg? he specifically said the serpentine cools better...

it was better for him, as it was what he makes the most profit from, and has to do the least amount of work to make that profit.
