Re: how did you find out about FS.com?
After buying my Spider ,I had no idea about the workings.I just knew I loved to drive it! I joined FLU and found much needed help on that forum.Someone there (Denise,Mike Bouse?) let me know about this site. There was so much more content here,it has been my go to source ever since.

Re: how did you find out about FS.com?
Lets start at the beginning, back in jr. high my grandparents neighbors had one new & I loved it, always wanted one after that.
Flash forward to mid 90's where I started reading up on the 124 Spider & did a little looking but never pulled the trigger.
Flash again to Thanksgivingish 2010, decided that with the next years taxes I should buy a car that I WANTED...remembered the Spider & started looking on the internet for info & found THIS site, love it!
Started reading every old & new post over the next few months & used the info I gained here to help me make an educated purchase the first day of spring that following year.
This site has been a valuable asset to 'Fiat ownership' & i'm sure will be for many more years, plus with the great group of guys & gals here I can't wait read all the new posts everyday....we'll call it Fiat therapy!

Re: how did you find out about FS.com?
I bought my 72 in 1995 and didn't even realize there was a support group until maybe 2003 when I googled it and found at forum for 124s. When I introduced myself, I was told this was a forum for Coupes, not Spiders and they told me to try Fiatspider.com. And, the rest is history.

Re: how did you find out about FS.com?
I believe it was in late 1999 or early 2000 that I was in the market for a Spider. I turned on my Compaq PC with Windows 98, searched the internet using Altavista as my search engine and found FiatSpider.com. I've been here ever since. My profile shows 2006 only because all the accounts had to be recreated when the site crashed.
I still miss some of the old timers who helped me through my restoration - RIP John P. and George. You guys were a great help.
