Hello all,
I have a friend helping me put the new brakes on my 74 spider.
so far i ordered,
new rotors,
new calipers
2x new grease caps,
new pads,
new bearings.
is there anything else i might be missing on this?
of course brake fluid is a given. just making sure i dont have a doh moment when we finally get to it.
the front calipers are sticky like crazy and i can barely turn the wheels, and the rotors gotta go anyway.
any advice is much appreciated.
thanks

Yes new hoses. Highly recommend the SS Braided lines. I put new rubber ones on mine and 2 years later the outer rubber is already shredding off. Either way a must do. You may also want to invest in new front spindle nuts. New front grease seals and flush the brake fluid. Dont forget to Center brake hose too as I had one that was bad and kept the rear brakes from releasing.

Re: Brake repair question
If you are going to replace the inner bearing races then you will need to get new seals too.
Definitely change the brake hoses, unless the ones on there look nearly new.

Re: Brake repair question
thank you all very much for the info.
the replacement was done successfully, though there's a bit air left in the brakes so that's getting bled out next weekend.
thankfully the NC weather wasnt too cold for the job.
the car definitely feels and brakes better. and it actually rolls down hill now in neutral. lol.
