Brake caliper assembly assistance RESOLVED

Post by 4uall »

Does anyone know the correct order on re-assembly of the brake caliper?

My guess is washer, brake hose, washer, retainer, brake hose union bolt :?

I'd say that is a good guess, a little hint I use, I anneal the copper for better sealing. Heating the washing in the end of a coat hanger (not the wooden ones) on a gas cook top till it's red hot, then drop it in a glass of water...

The retainer is installed after you but the bolt in. And yes washer on each side. But you probably are driving already.

What.... you have to put away the beach vollyball nets that I saw on the news last week..
That temp is not normal for there either.... That cold front looks BIG.

Years ago (about 38) I had my 70 spider out in really cold weather (about -20 C or more ) and being young I did not change the oil from 20-50 and after a night out in that temp, was a bear to start. Sure enough the belt slipped and pranged a few valves.
Pissed, I kicked the rusty rocker panel putting a hole in it... Oh to be young again.... NOT
