2013 Barrett Jackson

Post by garion »

Hi all.. I was lucky enough to get to Barrett Jackson today.. Although I didn't see the Spider that was listed, I found the other 2 Fiats.. One is a Fiat 850, and the other is a 1913 Fiat... I seriously lucked out with the 1913, cause it came past me as they were moving it into position, so I even caught a vid of it moving (not under its own power though, people pushing.).. I was able to get shots that people normally wouldn't (such as the back) when its just on display.,

I only took a few pics (40?), but I have family members that took many others, and I'll put add them to the collection as I can...

Looks like the Spider (lot 315) is slated for Wednesday January 16.

We'll have to wait until the Scottsdale event is finished in order to find out how much the 1913 Fiat Tipo 55 went for. BJ posts the results after the event. I wish it were real-time.

If you get it, it's live on Speed channel.

I should have more pics up tonight.

If you've never been, it's a lot of fun. I saw the guy from Chasing Classic Cars checking out cars. There tons of vendors to check out (drooling over the lifts).

The only problem I have is ODing on Vettes and mustangs. It gets to the point where you just skip by them.

To me it's the unquie cars that make the show.

I couldnt agree with you more.I attended B-J in Palm Beach a couple years ago. There were so many Vettes,Stangs, and Camaros, I paid them no attention after the first few. They had virtually no cool imports at all.I enjoyed the Wed and Thurs auctions the most, with the affordable classics. Some were pretty rough!

I saw there was supposed to be a Tucker convertible there, but there were questions as to whether it was a factory convertible,as none were ever listed as being built. The owner pulled it from the auction. They are amazing cars and a better story.
I have a buddy with a real Abarth Zagato that competed in the Mille Miglia. He was invited to Amelia Island Concourse.I will be going also.Really looking forward to that!

I think there are 5 auctions all going on this week. Russo and Steele seem to have market on imports, although B-J is certainly the biggest show in town. Keep the pictures coming. If I go to any of them it will most likely be R&S.

$6600 for a stock 79 spider. Not too bad I guess. As always would have liked to see a little higher price. It looks identical to mine except for the blue interior. Makes me appreciate the red interior more. That blue is not my cup of tea.
