POR-15 as a Hair Color?

Post by supplyguy »

Despite wearing a hat, gloves, and a mask, during the way successful treatment of my rust today with POR-15 I managed to get a two inch swath of the stuff in my hair right above my forehead. Mind you I am mostly gray and now I have this Jay Leno streak of black hair. And I start a new career in two weeks as a senior guy in a company. So - do I wait for it to grow out, or go ahead and treat my whole head?

Just tell 'em you got the idea from John Kerry, but didn't want to do just the sideburns like he does, so you thought you would try something different!

Treat the whole head. The only other option woud be a buzz cut. The buzz cut does not have the stigma attached to it in a professional enviroment it once had.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

Maybe you can go over it with some silver Master Series? I haven't got it in my hair, but had to scrub off my skin to remove it.

Wait untill it grows out. Tell the story you have never restored a vintage car before and during the application of the rust inhibitor, you got some on your hair....now my mind won't get rusty... :D

Starts a conversation regarding the fiat spider and add some comedic relief...winner combination in my opinion.

I'll be darned if my wife's conditioner-stripping shampoo didn't wash the POR-15 right out. Now I am skeptical of the POR-15's durability. For sure will never have my Fiat carpet shampooed - will undo all my hard work on the floor boards!
