Holy Crap!

Post by Exit98 »

Look what popped up on Ebay today. It's a Chevy powered Fiat Spider set up for (I guess) drag racing. And this isn't some cobbled together piece of sh#t, look at the attention to detail on the thing. Funny, no pictures of the engine. How the hell do you see over the hood bump?

Brady, did he see pictures of your Spider's rear end?

What's also funny is this thing is only about 35 miles or so from here, not that I expect to be going to look at it.

the tail lights are a generic, off-the-shelf tail light for any semi-trailer. Available at any truck parts location. All it takes is a round hole in the sheetmetal.
My guess is after a half dozen times of serious on-the-throttle, the doors wont close very well. He needs to do more with the roll bar to strengthen the interior chassis.

About a year ago this car was on the sellers local Craigslist. Agree with azruss, he hacked a lot out including the front frame rails, fire walls are for wimps.

Still pretty fun idea but, personally I would have done something different with the hood but I would still cruise that one for some fun.

George, my memory's shot, but the one we saw had a big Ford motor didn't it? And I don't think it was red either. But I have to write down my name now before I go to bed, so who knows?

Having spent a lot of time at the drag strip,I gotta say that car is really well done.Definitely not a back yard hacked up project. It seems well thought out and executed. And I bet it is a hoooot to drive!! With that 9'' rear w/spool and the short wheelbase ,leaving the line it must be a handful.

All true Craig, but a stock spider will likely beat both on a twisty road.
