Dash is so bad

Post by rodman »

After careful consideration I have decided that something has to be done. I took my dash and took all the old vinyl off of it. I was long process cause most of the top part came off like pealing a boiled egg. Now that everything is off ( old vinyl ) I am thinking taking it to a buddies fiber glass shop have him make me a mold and cast one out of fiber glass. That way it can be painted and will look very nice. Any one else interested in a fiber glass dash you can paint yourself and install??? Could see how much is in the cost of building it.

Roller, I considered that but in ten years I do not want to have to go through the same process again.

Treat it properly and it should last for more than 10 years. My dash is original - 32 years old and looks like the day it was new. Car is stored inside and regular "303" treatments keep it looking good.
