Gotta love modern customer service. Here's a copy of the chat regarding a set of seat belts that I ordered, then got an e-mail it was not in stock, so I contacted JCWhitney customer service to find out what was going on:

Lol. That reminds me of a jack in the box story. Many years ago I wanted the toy with jack driving the convertible but didn't want to eat anything so I asked if I could buy just the toy. The kid asked the ma is thatnager who said ok.. then the kid comes back and says is that all u want. Yes I say. Is that for here or to go he asks...

I get that frequently at the bagel bakery. I order a dozen, and goobete asks, "For here or to go?"
THEN ... After I accept the offer of freezer bags, once placed in the paper sack, I say, "Thank you." He/She says, "No problem." One trip (been going there ten years), I couldn't stand it any more. "Wrong," I say.
is the look I get. "The correct reply to 'thank you' is 'you're welcome'" I say. "Were you raised by wolves?" That just confused him more, and I wonder if he asked his parents that evening what the phrase meant. Probably not; just another crazy old fart ...
