Was a great day for a drive...
Just got back from 250 mile round trip drive out to Milledgeville - what a great day for a drive! Even better, the Spider ran great, without a single issue!!! Stayed about 70-75mph all the way and got 26 miles to the gallon - I'm more than satisfied with that! The new distributor seals and o-rings seem to have solved (at least for the time being) the small leak there and a half bottle of Bar's sealed whatever tiny breach there was in the cooling system, which was letting air back into the system. No air now and the system is working great. Aahh - when it's good, it's good!!!

Great! 250 miles will bring the kinks out if they're lurking. Way to go.
FWIW, when I had an issue of air being sucked into the system it was the little gasket on the heater pipe flange to water pump connection. It's on the suction side of the pump, so it didn't take long to displace a lot of coolant.
