Keeping it sharp - paint, wax, detailing, etc.

Shifter knob insert?

Post by burlybryan »

I'm putting a short shifter on my car and have refinished an old wood knob. I don't have an insert though. Does anyone know where to find one? The short shifter is from Autoricambi.

Thanks for any help.

a good hardware store will have inserts.... wood screw threads on the outside and machine threads on the inside... if you have not installed the shifter yet ..take it with you to get the correct size.... also a web site called E-Z-LOK .... if you know the size allready

Thanks for the info Matt! I've read somewhere that the insert is 10mm x 1.25 thread, but I can't make heads or tails of the EZ Lok website. It's a great resource and I'll keep looking.
