trunk lid ??
I have an 81 with trunk rust in two spots so I am looking for another lid all together. My question is will a 71 fit on an 81? I have found one but before i drive all the way to measure it I thought someone would know the answer. thanks so much !!

go to http://www.internationalautoparts.com and look up the trunk and see if they offer diferent lids for different years

My pleasure. It was nice meeting the both of you. I think ther are the beginnings of enough of us around the area that we might be able to start planning cruz nights or attending shows and so forth come next spring. (especially since I now have something that I can drive right away )

Referencing trunk lids by year at IAP is a very good idea. Pretty sure the 81 would have the spring mechanism to hold the trunk lid up when open while the earlier years use a prop. Making a prop would not be so bad. Those trunk springs always seem to have a problem over time anyway.
