After completing the latest round of projects (Gear drive starter, new brake booster and fresh gasket set for the injection),on my 1980 spider, I plugged all the myriad of wires back up and was left with 2 wires, both with ring ends, that I don't recall removing. The car won't start and I think they need to go somewhere. They both come from the same bundle as the rest of the injection wiring but I can find no location for them. Does anyone know what these wires are and where the locate???
Thanks in advance, Darrell

Re: Two wires left over???
what is the color coding on the wires? the ring ends might be aftermarket and throwing you off the trail.
http://www.artigue.com/fiat has a set of good wiring diagrams on his sight that will help you decode the color to find their destination

If they are a small gage black wire with a small (6mm) eyelet, they are probably grounds the connect to the intake manifold box. send us pix

My blind guess; FI grounds on the intake plenum.

Re: Two wires left over???
I bet one of them goes here: at the rear, drivers-side mounting bolt of the FI intake plenum cover. I think the other goes on the bolt just forward of that one. If you don't have any grounds currently attached on the intake plenum cover (?), it is a pretty good bet.

Re: Two wires left over???
Guys, as always the collective wisdom prevails!!! That was the exact location for the 2 wires I had 'left over'. Hooked em' up and it fired right up. The new brake booster returned the brake feel we used to have and the starter cranks like mad. Thanks for all your input. I've been struggling with both the starter and the booster for several days now and it's awesome to have a good result. Unfortuately I will be selling the Fiat as well as my Alfa Spider since we are retiring to the Carribean beaches of Panama. I will soon be posting both cars here as well as the Alfa BB and need to find someone to continue this love affair.
Thanks again,
Highest regards Darrell
This is Candy, I love my Fiat. It is the most responsive car I have ever driven. Corners like a dream, runs like a striped ass ape. What more can I say. Oh, very very comfortable.
P.S. The Fiat is a 1980 Pinnanfarina 200, injected with IAP springs, 1800 head, Ansa exhaust, totally rust free in black primer and ready for a fresh respray. Think I'm going to ask 4000.00 for the Fiat.
The Alfa is a 1976 2L. Spider with 6000 mi. on a fresh engine. Includes 10.5 to 1 pistons, fresh liners, 40 DCOE Webers newly rebuilt, Shankle headers, recent complete suspension bushings with IAP Red springs. Fresh sport seats and clean original rubber floor mat set. Recent tires on 14x6 Panasports, Car comes with a 74 Spider Ansa exhaust. No 2nd gear crunch, drives and looks great. 68,000 original miles. Reasonable paint but needs a respray to be it's best. Car comes with a 74 Spider parts car and all the tools I have. Can't take em' with me to paradise. 7000.00 Firm with everything!

Re: Two wires left over???
I meant to say the car comes with a 74 Spider parts car with a lot of good meat left for spares.
