Here is what I have done.
With the tail light assembly off the car and the PC board and bulbs removed
On a good stud in you cracked or to be replaced assembly remove the nut that holds the stud in place. Push the stud into the plastic light assembly. It will be loose in the assembly find it and use a pair of surgicals or needle nose pliers to take stud out though a bulb opening in the plastic.

Clean the end on the bolt on a wire wheel.
Pass an electrical wire through the stud hole and into the light assembly. Reach in with the surgicals or needle nose pliers and pull the wire out through the bulb hole.

Strip the end of the wire that comes out of the light bulb hole and tin it with a solder iron

Tin the very end of the good stud, be careful not to get solder on to the threads.

Solder the end of the wire to the threaded end of the stud. so the stud and wire are end to end.

Gently pull the other end of wire out of the stud hole. Patience is required to line the stud up with the hole and pull the stud into the hole. Slip the retaining nut over the wire and down to the stud.

Thread the nut onto the stud, once the stud is fully seated unsolder the wire from the stud.

I have done this a couple times but don't have any photos
