Key Ignition
Key Ignition
I reciently purchased a new ignition and want to put it in but, I don't know which wires goes where. Does anyone have something that will help me hook up the plug in (the plug that runs from your key to under the dash)? Understand, the PO had an aftermarket ignition rigged in there so I have nothing to go on. And, the two are nothing alike. Basically, it currently has one of those cheap 8 dollar key ignitions from the local auto parts store. I think that their are actually two plug ins that come off the ignition but obviously, the two wire one has been abandoned on mine. What are these for? Any help would be appreciated. By the way, I ripped everything out so now I have to get it back in so I can not just take it to a fix it shop anymore - Yeah, I roll that way

Re: Key Ignition
Yes. Later cars have a receptacle socket vs. individual Fast-On connectors of the early cars.
