Me again. I re-read my comments from this morning, and agree that my words could be interpreted as leaning toward negative. Wasn’t meant to be. I apologize to anyone that took it as negative.
I was just pointing out that the site name, FiatSpider.com, itself, is one key reason that this site gets so much activity. Anyone doing a blind search on the internet for information about Fiat spiders is bound to stumble across this site, since it is front row and center when using 'Fiat spider' as the key words in the search engines. Evan was a wise man to choose that domain name way back when. But having a good domain name doesn’t count for much without having substance to back it up. Evan has also been very wise to stay up to date with the most current web software, laid out in a pleasing manner that is really easy to follow. And it is faithfully attended by many knowledgeable folks that are quick to answer to all inputs, whether from new members or old. Most importantly, the site has always been extremely welcoming and friendly. Anyone that dips their head in here for a bit is instantly comfortable, and is quick to contribute or gain knowledge from the site.
Evan has had a lot of help from us all, especially by many that spend a chunk of their valuable time each day contributing to this site. I’ve been privileged to meet with moderator Mark many times, since we live in the same region, and since we’re both crazy with another mutual passion – soccer. I’ve also been privileged to meet many others from this Forum on Fiat outings near and far. It’s always great to put a face with a name . . . believe me, you hardly every look like the mental picture that I have painted!! BTW, keep my name handy if you are ever in the Los Angeles area (about 1 hour drive up the coast from there), it’s always a treat to have visitors.
If you ever take a venture over to the other sites that I named earlier, you are bound to meet many of the same names that you see here. Each of the sites have their own character. This one is the most devoted to the 124 and 850 spiders, . . .
I’ve rambled enough already. Time for me to back off and let someone else ramble for a while!

Re: how many new members?
so, how many new members since 01/01/08 ???? How many faces have i licked? my tongue is now dry, but I can fix that...
Re: how many new members?
Mike, I'm not sure, but it looks like about 400 this year alone!!!!!!!!! There are currently just shy of 800 members total. That's pretty crazy considering Mark has to approve all of them.
Re: how many new members?
no wonder my tongue is so dry.
