When putting it back together use stainless steel screws
Also get some por 15 to paint it after welding"fill the air Space in the paint can with butaine"to keep it from curing in the can

Progess on 1984 spider restoration:
All the welding is almost complete, just need to repair the fender. Sealed all the welds on the floor pans and covered with rubberized paint inside and underneath. Started working on some areas of the body that need some bondo. Front suspension has been removed and will order new upper nad lower control arms, most probably from Auto International. Removed heater core and purchased second hand A/C that came out of another spider. My plan is not to put back the center console but rather just have carpet and leather boot for hand brake and gear stick. Still have to do a compression test on the engine before I take it to work on the engine bay. While the engine is out I will detail it and replace the timing belt. Pictures to follow.

Just an update, still working on the spider. Put primer on this weekend and started wet sanding, still needs some work but its getting there. Detailed the engine but have to put on the new timing belt. Still undecided on what color maybe some suggestions would be helpful. Have lots of pictures, will try and put them on tomorrow.

Didn't take off the door handles? I'm getting ready to do this in a couple of weeks. Any pointers?
