I checked the number stamped on the head and it matches those from the 1800.

Nice car! Pretty engine! Even like the cut away on the timing belt cover, never seen that before.

The timing cover makes it look liike an 1800. The cut out is there because the smog pump was removed. 70 is the best year.

The PO said he took his wife-to-be on a ride and showed her how well it cornered, she got real quiet during the ride and when they got back, she told him, "Get rid of that car!"
I'm glad I don't have to make that choice, fortunately, my wife loves my little Spider :)

HeHeHe, I know that feeling, my wife says I should slow down for the corners but then I "try" to explain I don't need to, she still loves the drives though.
