Re: Anyone own these Dewalt power tools?
I purchased a Dewalt drill recently so far it seems to be the best out of all the cordless drills I've owned
over the years.

Thanks Daniel for the reply, I'm trying to find reviews but it's a little difficult, the brushless technology sounds like it's good and interesting.

Brushless technology has been around for a few years now. The dewalt 20 volt battery dosent have a long run time though. I work with guys that use them. My 18 volt makita runs on and on.

Decent tools. Middle-of-the-road in terms of quality and battery life. Unless you need the screwdriver (I find them to be useless for the most part) spend $279 on a Milwaukee or Makita drill and you'll have a better tool.surfingfreeman wrote:Online Exclusive

Re: Anyone own these Dewalt power tools?
I use the Makita Black Series and have been very happy with them. Lightweight, very well balanced and not overly expensive. I would characterize my use as light to moderate duty, since I build cabinetry in a shop, no outdoor work, roof or ladder work, etc. One feature thay have which is REALLY nice is that the light comes on with a light trigger touch, and STAYS on for a few seconds after release. This sounds like a small thing but is not in actually use. Really helpful. My Bosch didn't have this.

I have the 18V Dewalt drill and love it. I also love the Dewalt 12V IMPACT driver. OMG does that thing get some use. Right now it is my favorite tool of all time.

Dewalt is a good tool. There are just better choices out there. Dewalt is basically Black and decker.
