When cleaning and sealing gas tank, should the fuel level sending unit be removed from the tank? I am using the Por-15 gas tank restoration kit if that matters.

I have found that the answer is yes, for posterity.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd hijack :twisted: this one and see if we could get more info in one place for the next pool fool like me who is searching for answers.

Ok, guys, chime in: best methods for cleaning/sealing an old gas tank......... (I got 3 that need it right now!) :oops:

I just saved a tank for my 128 with the POR-15 kit. It is nothing less than amazing.
