How about adding a new Section in the General Discussion area: Great Local Drives. People for a local area can start their own threads and locals can contribute and comment.
For example, I would love to have Southern California thread. I just did a great drive today I would like to share, and I am sure other locals in So Cal would love to share their favorites and to read about other near-by drives. People in Northern California would likely set up their own thread and post their local drives.
If we get enough local areas going, people could use it to plan a Fiat road-trip or cross-country, and use the drives as "destinations" on their trip.
How about it Mr. Moderator Mr. Mark - if there is enough interest, would you set up a new Section in the General Discussion area "Great Local Drives"?
Thanks.

Back when the Ducatis Unlimited Connection site was active (It is presently lying fallow at http://duc-bz.github.com/) we had such a feature. Here is the way it was displayed (sans the "frames" - a common web feature from that period): http://duc-bz.github.com/favorite_roads_listings.htm
And here is the form members used to submit their recommendations: http://duc-bz.github.com/favorite_rides ... n_form.htm
Getting submissions was like pulling teeth. Everyone said the loved the feature. Everyone said that add their rides 'when the could.' Alas few actually did so.

Italian motorcycles. An Italian car. An Italian wife. What more could a man desire?
