Following the All Italian Car Show in Alameda on Oct. 7, anyone up for a coast highway run between Half Moon bay and Santa Cruz followed by dinner in Santa Cruz area? Suggestions?

There may be a group from Mirafiori that have that plan. If so, and if you join them, be prepared to do some white knuckle driving!

I used to turn that wonderful drive into a loop by including Skyline Drive back in the late '70s in a previous 124 spider. I sure wish I could be there. I once drove a TR4A from Santa Cruz down to Huntington Beach and back on Highway 1. That was a once in a lifetime great drive.

We just drove from SFO to Santa Cruz today. Took a little side trip up Route 84 towards La Honda and Redwood City. How I wished I was in my Fiat instead of the rented Nissan Versa. This road was so twisty and up and down we had to stop half way and turn around! My wife was literally getting motion sick from all the twisting and turning. If you can work it in that would probably be a hoot. All we've seen on the coastal highway (1) so far is fog!
