On the bottom or the boot cover are 2 hooks to prevent it from flapping. What do they hook to? Ive seen rubber bungee looking things but what holds them in place opposite the hook?
thanks

Re: Boot cover question
George,
The rubber straps should be unhooked at the leading edge and the loop hooked over the convertible top latch. The strap keeps the top from bouncing around and scratching up the vinyl rear window. The rear side panels should have a hole in them just behind the rear mounting point for the rubber strap. The boot hooks hook into the holes.

Re: Boot cover question
Strap attachment for securing top prior to covering:
The "fish hooks" on the boot cover attach to the chrome J-hooks outside. The one in this photo is not secured.
The front legs of your boot cover should have black plastic "shoulder pads" in pockets. These clip over a shoulder bolt in the top well.

Re: Boot cover question
I went to a local "surplus" store to see if they sold rivets or something so i could fix the hook and they had a riveter they use for repair of rafts, tents etc so they did it for me for $2.
The boot cover now fits snugly and wow does the car look dressed up!
