So....after changing all the ujoints, pillow block etc etc. i hooked up my drive shaft to the guibo, mounted the pillow block to car mount...went to attach to the rear end and THE DARN THING IS ABOUT 1/4 to 3/8 TOO SHORT. What gives? The front end is jacked WAY up? Does this matter due to body flex?
Help

Try undoing the pillow block, pulling back on the shaft so the collar pulls out of the transmission just until you can get a couple of bolts in the rear end, then retry the pillow block. It sounds like you bound up the front end a bit...I don't normally tighten these up until it is all in place.

Re: Driveshaft 3/8th too short
also sounds like you may have your pillow block on backward
Re: Driveshaft 3/8th too short
Backwards? It matters? Or do you mean the bracket the pillow block bolts to?
Re: Driveshaft 3/8th too short
Fixed...loosened guibo, pillow block mount, bolted rear, then tightened everything back up. Thank you.
