Yes, that's right. I have no beef with Maytag, he saved my ass when I needed a radiator quick. Good guy in my book.

well that's right generous of ya! if the shoes were reversed, I would probably have been much more sarcastic, and said something like "Maytag can be wrong in a very polite fashion"....

Cant tell but does the casting start with 419. If so its a 1438 head which has smaller intake ports and no water passage at back of intake side. 1608 heads start with 423.
